The Vietnam-Cambodia trip was very beautiful, brought many new experiences and adventures, and also shed new light on historical events that I hadn’t known about before. The group consisted of 6 people, a very nice small group that was very considerate of each other and characterized by mutual respect. Our tour guide Hung was very professional, very well prepared, and responded very well and willingly to our wishes, organizing several extra things at our request, such as the visit to the water puppet theater. The Sapa module beforehand was a great addition, very interesting, and a wonderful introduction to the Vietnam tour. Cambodia was a bit too short on the trip. A few more days would have been better. I chose the Sapa module because I find a 14-day trip too short for a round-trip flight of over 10 hours; I would prefer offers for trips of at least 3 weeks.

Our guide, Son, is an exceptional person, very knowledgeable, always smiling, with such kindness that he was able to immerse us in all the history of Vietnam, its geography, its culture... an unforgettable journey thanks to the richness of the landscapes, the cuisine, the activities (cooking, lantern making, gardening, calligraphy), meeting with a Buddhist monk, folklore, circus, all the various means of transportation 😂 (plane, train, boat, kayak, rickshaw, tuk-tuk, bicycle, motorbike and of course walks and visits to all the incredible sites that will make this wonderful country an everlasting memory for me. I truly recommend this country for its diversity, and all the encounters which, thanks also to the small group with whom we got along so well, made this trip an exceptional journey. An exciting and very interesting round trip with very well-chosen destinations. Both tour guides, Phuong in Vietnam and Narun in Cambodia, are masters of their craft who introduced us to their homeland with a lot of knowledge, commitment, and empathy. The accommodations were very good; we especially liked “Babylon Riverside” in Hoi An and “Chateau d’Angkor La Residence” in Siem Reap. The food (of course, a matter of taste) we found really good. Lunch and dinner were often included in the program, and each time a set menu was served. In retrospect, that was too much for us; having one set menu per day and perhaps eating à la carte once would have suited us better. The days were well filled; we would have preferred a slightly more relaxed time management to have a bit more free time. Conclusion: The trip was worth the money, overall we really enjoyed it, 4.5 out of 5 stars.

An exciting insight into the different facets of Vietnam. In addition to all the wonderful experiences – Halong Bay, cooking class, royal palaces, pagodas, Mekong Delta – I was particularly impressed by the Cu Chi tunnels. After all, the Vietnam War has also shaped this country. And Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, and all the temples still slumbering in the forests are truly a special experience. The circus evening in Siem Reap – a social project for underprivileged children – was also very moving.

The tour is very well designed and rich. The only downside is that we would have preferred to spend one less night in Saigon, a very tiring city, in order to enjoy an extra day in Siem Reap to have more time to visit the temples. The program is very packed, which in my opinion requires planning a few days of rest upon return.
